Mount Greenwood Town Hall Meeting Set For This Week

Get the rundown of the big events taking place this week including a circus in Mount Greenwood and a benefit for the family of a Chicago firefighter.

If you are looking to get some time up close and personal with your local officials, this Wednesday is your chance. 

Ald. Matt O'Shea will be hosting a town hall meeting at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, 3857 W. 111th St., at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Listed as co-sponsors of the event are the Mt. Greenwood Community & Business Association, Mt. Greenwood Civic Association and Mt. Greenwood Residents Association. 

On the agenda will be the debut of new 22nd District Commander Daniel Godsel. Also present will be representatives from a variety of city agencies. The structure of the town hall will allow you to ask questions to those officials present.

Circus Fun

The circus is in town. Setting up the big top in Mount Greenwood Park will be the Midnight Circus this Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children. They can be purchased here.  You can also get a sneak peek at what's in store on the circus' Youtube channel

A benefit to assist the family of Chicago Firefighter Jason Mayoski who died suddenly last year will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., at 115 Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St.  Tickets are $35, which includes food, beer, wine, and entertainment.
