MOUNT CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS CARAVAN FAMILY DAY SEPTEMBER 28

A free family celebration of prayer, community, and service on Mount Carmel’s campus

Mount Carmel High School invites friends and family to Caravan Family Day on Saturday, September 28, 2013.  Caravan Family Day is a celebration of prayer, community, and service that will consist of a freshman football game, a ceremony honoring the 2013 IHSA Baseball State Champions, activities for kids, Mass, a battle of the bands, a celebration for the 50th reunion class of 1964, food, drinks, and entertainment for the whole family all day long.

The freshman football team takes on St. Rita on Carey Field to kick-off Family Day at 11:00 a.m.   Following the game, a ceremony will honor the Caravan’s 2013 IHSA 4A Baseball State Champions.  Mass for the public with Mount Carmel President Fr. Tony Mazurkiewicz, O.Carm. ’92 presiding will take place in the Convocation Center at 3:00 p.m. A jumping jack, face painter, and other children’s activities are free of charge all day long.

Schedule of Events:
11:00 am     Freshman Football vs. St. Rita on Carey Field

12:45 pm     Parade of State Champions

1:00 pm       Ceremony Honoring the 2013 IHSA 4A State Baseball Champions

1:30 pm       Home-run derby contest and recognition of the Class of 1964

2:00 pm       Demonstrations by the Caravan Rugby and Lacrosse programs with children's mini-camp to follow. Band "Jimmy Mulooly" begins.

3:00 pm       Mass with Fr. Tony Mazurkiewicz, O.Carm. '92 presiding

4:00 pm       Alumni, student, parents and friends reception to be held on Champions Way and Private reception for the Class of 1964 in the Courtyard

Admission: Admission to Caravan Family Day, including the freshman football game and all children’s activities is FREE! Tickets will be available for purchase of food and beverages. 

Raffle: Attendees are invited to support tuition assistance by purchasing a raffle ticket for $10.  First prize is a half year tuition or $2500.
