Walden Parkway Shooting Victim Dies 1 Month Later

The man who was shot in the lobby of his Beverly apartment building on May 15 has died over a month after the incident occurred.

Kyle Arrington, 34, was pronounced dead on the morning of June 20 at Advocate Christ Medical Center, the Chicago Tribune reported. Arrington was shot multiple times in the lobby of his building on the 9900 block of Walden Parkway, police said at the time.

Police quickly identified David Twine, 29, of Matteson, as the suspect in the shooting. They released a description of his vehicle and a photo of Twine. He was known to the victim and it was believed some type of altercation occurred before the shooting, authorities said at the time.

Twine was tracked by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Chicago Police Department to Arkansas, where he was arrested a few days after the shooting.

Twine is currently in Cook County Jail and bail was set at $500,000, according to Cook County sheriff's office records. Charges could be upgraded as the result of Arrington's death.
