Original Story

Police are searching for a man they believed sexually assaulted three people and attempted to assault a fourth in the 22nd District in the early morning hours Wednesday.

On Oct. 9 between 3 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. a 43-year-old and a 22 year-old woman were sexually assaulted in their home on the 10300 block of South Emerald Avenue, police said. The assailant entered the home through an open kitchen window.

The same man is believed to have entered another home in the same way on the 10100 block of South Green Street where he attempted to assault an 11-year-old girl, police said. He was ultimately frightened away.

He then assaulted a 14-year-old girl shortly after that incident in the 10000 block of South Peoria Street while the girl was walking to her bus stop, police said. The man grabbed the girl from behind by the mouth and put a knife to her throat, police said. He then took her to a nearby yard and assaulted her before fleeing the area, police said.

The suspect is described as a male black  between 16 and 22 years of age. He is about six-feet tall and weighs between 150 and 170 pounds, police said. He has medium length dreadlocks and a dark brown complexion. He was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, white gym shoes and a long white or tan belt.
