Rock. Pop. Blues. Irish. Fall concerts for all music fans

Area music fans have been asking for information on the Beverly Arts Center’s fall concerts. The schedule is filled with variety and fun, and, as everyone who’s been to a concert at the BAC knows, the venue is perfect for every kind of musical performance! Terrific acoustics and just 400 seats make every seat a great seat! Located at 111th and Western, there’s plenty of free parking, tickets are affordable, and there’s a cash bar. The Neverly Brothers perform A Rock n’ Roll Evolution: From Elvis to The Beatles, Fri., Sept. 13, 8 p.m. From the hits of the 1950s through the British invasion, the Neverly Brothers play classic rock dressed in period-perfect suits from each era. Tickets: $17 ($15/BAC members).

Irish eyes and ears will be smiling when the acclaimed Brock McGuire Band performs a concert of traditional and non-traditional Irish music as part of the World Music Festival Chicago 2013 Sat., Sept. 21, 8 p.m. Button accordionist Paul Brock and fiddler Manus McGuire are two of Ireland’s most celebrated traditional musicians. Performing with respect for traditional Irish music and creativity as accomplished musicians, the Brock McGuire Band uses a blend of instruments to perform mostly Irish music but with a hint of American Old Timey, Bluegrass, French-Canadian, and other Celtic traditions. Admission is free; reserve tickets (limit 4 per person) at 773-445-3838, ext. 200.

The legendary Corky Siegel puts his unique blues stamp on music that spans Beethoven to B.B. King in a concert by Corky Siegel’s Chamber Blues Sat., Sept 28, 8 p.m.  Their innovative captures the qualities of classical music, merging them with the emotional style of blues, all within an intimate chamber setting.”  Tickets: $31($28/BAC members).

Michael McDermott and his Duke Street Kings band perform the greatest hits of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band in Halloweensteen, Sat., Oct. 26, 8 p.m. McDermott started out in Chicago coffeehouses in the early 1990s, incorporating elements of Irish music into an American folk rock sound. His Springsteen shows are favorites with BAC audiences. Tickets are $28 ($25/BAC members).

The Young Dubliners, Celtic rock's hardest working band, puts the BAC on their US tour schedule Fri., Nov, 15, 8 p.m. You’ve seen them on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! and heard their songs on TV’s “Sons Of Anarchy” and other hit shows, now you can see them right here in the neighborhood. $16 ($14/BAC members)

Steve Bobbitt and The Young Turks return with their Rod Stewart Concert Experience Sat., Nov. 23, 8 p.m. Bobbitt and his band bring to life the look, sound, energy and star appeal of the music of Stewart. Tickets: $19 ($16 BAC members).

The Buckinghams return with their annual Joy of Christmas show, performing their fan-favorite hits and their band-favorite holiday music, Sat., Nov. 30, 8 p.m. $35 ($32/BAC members). BTW, these ticket sell really fast, so don’t wait to buy them!
