Rock, Pop and Holiday Favorites on Stage at BAC

From a Talking Heads Tribute to a Christmas around the world show by Trans-Infinity Orchestra, rock, pop and holiday favorites are covered in the upcoming weeks at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago.

Celebrated for their authentic sound and performing style, This Must Be the Band performs a Talking Heads Tribute Wed., Nov. 27, 8 p.m. Chicago’s only Talking Heads Tribute band, This Must Be the Band began playing locally in 2007 and now performs from New York to San Francisco. Band members are Charlie Otto, Jamie Jay, Matt Gunsaulus and Kasey Foster. Tickets: $19 ($17/BAC members).

            A BAC audience favorite, Steve Bobbitt and the Young Turks perform A Rod Stewart Concert Experience Sat., Nov. 23, 8 p.m. This tribute band brings to the stage the look, sound, energy and star appeal of music legend Rod Stewart. Tickets: $19 ($16 BAC members).

As Carl Giammarese said, “Playing at the Beverly Arts Center puts you in the Christmas mood!” Carl and Nick Fortunaaka, The Buckinghamsperform their Joy of Christmas show, featuring the band’s fan-favorite hits and their band-favorite holiday music, Sat., Nov. 30, 8 p.m.  $35/$32 BAC members.

            It’s classic rock Chicago style when M&R Rush, one the powerhouse bands from the Seventies, performs Fri., Dec. 6, 8 p.m. In An Evening with M & R Rush, original band members Marty Mardirosian, Roger Hirtz, Carl Moszur, John McFarland, Paul Martin and Jeff Luif bring to the stage their tight sounds, exceptional vocals and harmonies, and melodic orchestration of three guitars, keyboards, bass and drums. Sean and Charlie open. Tickets: $12 ($10/BAC members).

            Trans-Infinity Orchestra was created to be a holiday experience for all. Featuring the music of Trans Siberian Orchestra and telling the story of Christmas around the world, this fantastic all ages production even has with an angelic choir and state-of-the-art light show, Sat., Dec. 7, 8 p.m. Snow machines and other surprises add to holiday fun. Tickets: $20 ($18/BAC members).
