Chicago Marist (7-3) faces Bolingbrook (10-0) in a matchup of private-vs.-public in the second round of the Class 8A football playoffs.

The Raiders are coming off a 48-12 victory over Chicago Heights Bloom. Marist ousted Plainfield South 64-28. The game figures to be a classic battle of offense vs. defense, too.
Bolingbrook has pitched two shutouts and allows an average of 6.7 points. Marist has scored 50 or more points twice and averages 42.3 points per game.
