Six Marist Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent for College

The group includes wrestlers, volleyball platers and softball players.

Marist High School hosted a signing ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 15, for six student-athletes to sign their National Letters of Intent, confirming their enrollment at their respective colleges during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Wrestlers Peter Andreotti (Western Springs) and Mario Leveille (Mt. Greenwood) both committed to Purdue University. Andreotti is a two time state-placer, finishing fifth (160lb.) in 2013 and sixth (152lb.) in 2012. Leveille is a two-time state qualifier.

Softball player Brooke Wyderski (Justice) committed to Loyola University. As short stop and pitcher, Wyderski helped lead the RedHawks to the 2012 IHSA 4A state championship. Her teammate, Julie Trellicoso (Beverly), an outfielder for the RedHawks, signed with St. Ambrose University (IA).

Volleyball players Molly Mayo and Bridget Krasowski, both of Oak Lawn, also signed. Mayo, a standout setter for Marist, will play for Wofford College (SC), while Krasowski will head to St. Joseph’s College (IN).
