Beverly Frank Lloyd Wright Home Sells Fast, for $980,000

The historic William and Jessie M. Adams House flew off the market, just months after being listed.

It was less than the asking price, but a Beverly home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright has been sold for a hefty $980,000.

The William and Jessie M. Adams House is defined as a "proto-prairie" design, built in 1900. The design is characterized by horizontal lines, flat or hipped roofs with broad overhanging eaves, and windows grouped in horizontal bands, to name a few features.

The home had been owned by the same family since 1952, Crain's reports. The historic house went on the market last November, with an asking price of $1.175 million but sold for nearly $200,000 less than that.
