Neighbors Irked by Gov. Pat Quinn's Yard of Weeds

Taking care of his front yard is on the governor's "to-do list," says a spokesman.

Gov. Pat Quinn is irritating his Chicago neighbors — but not for his policies or the fact the Illinois economy is in the dumper.

The weed-choked lawn at the governor's West Side house in Galewood sticks out among the trim, well-mowed plots of grass up and down the block.

"Politics aside, there's no getting around the fact that having an unkempt front yard is one of those things that's almost guaranteed to really tick off your neighbors," writes Konkol in a column on DNAInfo.com.
