19th Ward Ranks 1st in Chicago Early Voting

Voters came out in droves to the 19th Ward's early voting location.

Early voting ended Saturday and 19th Ward residents braved sometimes long lines to come out in very big numbers.

Voting totals at Mount Greenwood Park, the ward's early voting location, were the highest in all of Chicago with 6,265 ballots cast, according to the Chicago Board of Elections Commissioners.

Voting at Mount Greenwood started off strong and then began to trail other South Side wards midway through early voting. Things picked back up in the final days to put the 19th's total back on top.
