Report: Firefighters Charged With Trying to Rape Woman at Mount Greenwood House Party

Two Merrionette Park firefighters were charged with criminal sexual abuse and attempted criminal sexual assault.

Two Merrionette Park firefighters have been charged after prosecutors say one of them tried to assualt an unconscious woman at a party in Mount Greenwood Friday night, the Chicago Tribune reports

The men, Marvin Buhle, 24, and Michael Haas, 20, have been charged with criminal sexual abuse and attempted criminal sexual assault, the report says. Both men live in Chicago. 

The victim, who was from out of town, was attending a party on the 3900 block of West 109th Street with her boyfriend. Haas and Buhle were also both in attendence, the Tribune reports. 

A prosecutor said that the woman was passed out upstairs and that her boyfriend later found her in a room with Buhle on top of her with his pants down, the report says. Haas was standing outside of the closed door. 

Buhle told police he was invited upstairs and Haas' lawyer denied the charges.
