Off-Duty CPD Cop Catches 2 Alleged Thieves

Chicago cop helps catch thieves in Evergreen Park, police say.

On Sunday, April 28, an off-duty Chicago police officer caught a couple of theives in the act, according to Evergreen Park police. 

Ebony Richardson, 33, and Chiaka Davis, 40, both of the 10200 block of South Pulaski Road, Oak Lawn, were charged with retail theft, according to a report.

An off-duty Chicago Police Department officer was getting gas at about 5:31 p.m. at the Shell Gas Station, 10258 South Kedzie Ave., when he allegedly spotted someone taking a pair of glasses.

This led to an investigation and arrest of two people for theft. Richardson and Davis are accused of taking $155.95 worth of items.
