Murder Charge For Man Who Fled After Shooting on Walden Parkway

The charge was upgraded after the man who was shot on May 15 died of his injuries.

A murder charge has officially been filed against David Twine who police and prosecutors say shot a man on May 15 in the lobby of an apartment building on the 9900 block of South Walden Parkway.

Twine, 32, of the 4500 block of W. Columbine in Matteson, was initially charged with aggravated battery with a firearm. Kyle Arrington, 34, later died of his injuries on June 20 at Advocate Christ Hospital.

Twine was quickly pinpointed as a suspect in the shooting and police began a manhunt to find him. He was seen driving away from the scene in a black Cadillac. He was picked up in Arkansas on May 17 after the Chicago Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service tracked him there.

Police have said that the two men knew each other and were involved in an altercation when the shots were fired. Arrington was shot multiple times.

Twine is being held without bond.
