Fire Up A Cure for Pediatric Cancer: Photo Gallery

Inflatable jousting, tug of war and an obstacle course--oh my! Those were just some of the events area firefighters competed in to raise money for juvenile cancer.

On Saturday, July 28, firefighters from across Chicago area faced off in events such as an obstacle course, hot wing eating contest and tug of war, all in the name of raising money for pediatric cancer research.

The second-annual Fire Up A Cure, organized by the Cure It Foundation, raised about $30,000, according to co-founder and pediatric oncologist Dr. Jason Canner. About 1,000 people attended the Sunday afternoon event.

The Palos Fire District team successfully defended their title, winning for the second year in a row.
