ComEd reports that there are currently about 1,565 customers without power in the Beverly area.
The outages are concentrated mainly in the northern portion of the neighborhood, according to the ComEd Outage map. There is at least one crew in the area working to assess the damage.
The area was placed under a tornado watch earlier this afternoon as an extremely strong storm system moved through that had brought with it tornadoes to towns southwest of the Chicago area.
