2 Men Robbed 95th Street Pepe's Restaurant on Friday Night: Police

Both suspects believed to be involved in the robbery by gunpoint of the Mexican restaurant remain at large.

Evergreen Park police are searching for two suspects in the Friday night armed robbery of Pepe’s Restaurant.

Two men walked into the restaurant, located at 2942 West 95th, at about 10 p.m., police said. One robber drew a handgun and demanded money from both the register and the restaurant manager’s pockets.

After swiping the cash, both men fled westbound on 95th Street in a black vehicle.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said.

One suspect is described as a black male, between 5-foot, 9-inches and 5-foot, 10-inches tall, with a dark complexion and a thin mustache. He was seen wearing a black jacket with a Chicago American Giants logo on the front and the word “Chicago” in red letters on the back.

Police said the second suspect was described as a black male, between 5-foot, 6-inches and 5-foot, 8-inches tall, with stubble. He was seen wearing a black bandana with red stripe and dark, hooded coat.

The incident remains under investigation.
