Mother McAuley Introduces New Dance Team!

Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School is pleased to announce the establishment of a new official IHSA team – the Dance Team!

Current and prospective students have clamored for McAuley to add a Dance Team to their athletic program, and they listened. Two coaches head the twelve-person team – Ms. Cassie Saunders, Language Teacher; and Mrs. Magen Martin, Art Teacher. They competed in their first competition this past Saturday, January 5 at Eisenhower High School.

“We are all really excited about the new McAuley dance team,” shares Coach Cassie Saudners. “Our first competition went well and we have a lot of good ideas for the future.”

The team has already made appearances at events within the school, including a workshop at this year’s Girls’ Night Out. They have also acted as the halftime entertainment at the McAuley home basketball game on January 8 against Marist. Keep an eye on the Mother McAuley website, mothermcauley.org, for the full schedule.
