Fast Facts: Marist is hitting its stride at the right time. The RedHawks are led by a pair of dynamic Division I talents in Bolton (Illinois) and Rouse (Marquette). Rouse has put in arguably the best season in school history. She is the school’s all-time leader in scoring with 2,045 points. She set the school’s single-season scoring record this year (639, 20.6 per game), was named the ESCC Player of the Year and has been nominated for the McDonald’s All-American Game. Bolton is the second all-time leading scorer at Marist (1,713 points) and is averaging 15.5 points and 6 rebounds per game this year. Senior Clare Ryan, a key player from last year’s 32-2 team, returned Friday from a torn ACL. She has played the past two games for Marist and will be back in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game. Marian Catholic is one of the state’s finest teams, heading into the sectional final with a 29-1 record. Isaac (Valparaiso), Ransom (Davidson) and Walsh (Truman State) are headed to play in college next year. Page is one of the top sophomores in the state and is getting interest from major Division I programs. Marian won the first meeting between the teams in conference play.

Quotable: “Our team is playing their best basketball right now,” Marist coach Mary Pat Connolly said. “JeTaun and Leah have been our scorers all year but are now receiving significant points from others.”
