Because the existing fare systems will be decommissioned on July 1, Pace will no longer be able to issue Transfer Cards to customers who pay with cash. Staff will assist these customers with transitioning to Ventra at these events to help them save money while enjoying Ventra’s convenience and security features- such as balance protection in the event of a lost or stolen card.
