Mariano's to Break Ground on 95th Street Location This Month

The store will join an Oak Lawn location as one of two new Mariano's Fresh Foods in the area.

The area's most rapidly growing grocery chain will hold a ground breaking ceremony on its newest location at 2601 West 95th Street on Oct. 31.

Mariano's Fresh Market will be built at the former Webb Chevy site and adds its name to a growing list of retailers moving in to that corridor of Evergreen Park. Back in June the move became official when the village signed an economic development agreement

Mariano's is also building a location in Oak Lawn that will anchor a new shopping center at 111th and Cicero Avenue.

Milwaukee-based Roundy’s owns Mariano’s Fresh Market and plans to open 25 to 30 of the upscale supermarkets over the next several years. The stores are known for providing a mix of traditional grocery store brands and higher-end products and prepared foods.

Mariano stores frequently boast a large selection of organic produce, a full-fledged deli and bakery, craft beer, wine and cheese bar and an in-store cafe area.

In addition to the soon to be constructed Mariano's, Evergreen Park has welcomed large retailers Meijer, Menard's, Ross Dress for Less and Michael's all in the past nine months.
