Fun, Robert Plant, Robin Thicke, Jill Scott Among Taste of Chicago Headliners

The Department of Cultural Affairs has announced the lineup of musical acts that will perform at the 2013 Taste of Chicago.

It looks like a little something for everyone at this year's Taste of Chicago. 

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Mayor Rahm Emanuel unveiled the list of performers that will be taking the stage at the Petrillo Music Shell during this summer's Taste of Chicago. 

“We are thrilled to announce the headlining talent for this year’s Taste of Chicago,” said Mayor Rahm Emanuel in a news release. “The Taste draws hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors to downtown Chicago and we are excited to offer attendees such a variety of recognized, energized and award-winning quality entertainers while enjoying a taste of Chicago’s culinary scene.”

Tickets for the seating area will cost $25 while lawn seats are free. Tickets will go on sale at the Taste's website on May 15. There will be no fees or surcharges added to the tickets when purchased. 

The Taste of Chicago will run from July 10-14.

Wednesday, July 10

fun. - The newly minted Grammy winners will bring their chart topping hits to kickoff the Taste. If you listened to the radio in the last year, you have heard their music. Delta Spirit will start the night at 5:30 p.m.  

Thursday, July 11

Robin Thicke - The R&B singer's smooth vocal stylings will be joined by opening act Estelle who will get things going at 5:30 p.m. 

Friday, July 12

Robert Plant - The rock legend and former Led Zeppelin front man will bring his Robert Plant Presents The Sensational Space Shifters show to Chicago. Opening for Plant will be country band The Lone Bellow.

Saturday, July 13

Jill Scott - The multi-talented Scott will display her unique soulful jazz, R&B and hip-hop sound. Reggae artist Max Priest will be the night's opener.

Radio Disney - The free kid-friendly concert will take place at 11 a.m. and feature young acts Chloe and Hallie and IM5.

Sunday, July 14

Neon Trees - The alternative rock band's recent single “Everybody Talks” was one of the top songs of 2012. Opening for the band at 4 p.m. is the musical collective  the Mowgli’s.
