Beverly Comedian Says She Looks Like a 'Dead Crackhead Wife'

Just one of many things Grace Lusk has learned on the road as she's honed her comic touch.

Grace Lusk of North Beverly quit her job selling air purifiers and hit the comedy circuit, traveling America and trying to make people laugh.

Along the way, she met a crackhead in New Orleans who planted a big kiss on her hand.

"He told me I reminded him of his dead crackhead wife," Lusk told Mark Konkol, who writes for DNAInfo.com Chicago.

The 24-year-old Lusk will perform in June at the Chicago Women's Funny Festival.

"My comedy comes from stories," Lusk said. "Growing up in North Beverly with my parents I was basically around a bunch of loud, rowdy people telling stories, and if you wanted to keep up and be heard you had to have something funny to say. I guess I soaked a lot of that in."
