Where to Get Your Friday Fish Fry Fix

We pulled together and updated local options for those looking to enjoy the Lenten specialty. Review your favorite fish fry (or fish bake) in the comments.

If you're on the hunt for a local fish fry fear not, you have come to the right place. 

From church basements to VFW halls, local bars to higher-end restaurants the options for the Lenten specialty are almost endless. If we missed one, let us know in the comments section and on the list is shall appear.

Fish Fries

St. Catherine of Alexandria, 10621 S. Kedvale Ave., Oak Lawn — Fridays at 5:00 p.m. — February 15, March 1, March 22

St. Germaine Parish, 9711 S. Kolin Ave., Oak Lawn, every Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. beginning Feb. 15 through March 22. All you can eat.

St. Louis de Montfort Knights of Columbus at Oak Lawn Community Church, 9000 S. Ridge Ave., Oak Lawn - Chef created fish bake, 5 to 8 p.m. March 8 and March 22, $12 adults; $6 children under 12.

Our Lady of Loretto, 8925 S. Kostner Ave., Hometown, 4 to 6:30 p.m. every Friday from Feb. 15 to March 22.

St. Christina, 11005 S Homan Ave., 4:30 to 8 p.m. $9 for adults and $6 for kids. Includes pasta and grilled cheese for the little ones. 

St. Cajetan, 2445 W. 112th St., 5 to 7:30 p.m., Feb. 15 and March 1, $8 adults and $5 kids. 

St. Benedict, 2339 York, Blue Island, lunch 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., dinner 4 to 7:30 p.m., $9 adults; $3 kids. Peanut butter and jelly for kids. 

VFW Hall, 7256 W. 63rd St., Bridgeview, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., $7-$8 for perch, catfish, cod and scrod. 

St. Albert, 5555 State Road, Bridgeview, 4 to 7:30 p.m., Shrimp, cod or a combo. 

Restaurant Specials

Pleasant House Bakery 964 W. 31st Street in Chicago has an award winning fish and chips special. Voted best in Chicago by Windy City Live. 

Horse Thief Hollow, 10426 S. Western Ave. in Chicago, will have Friday fish fry specials. 

Nicobee's, 10555 Southwest Hwy., Worth, all-you-can-eat perch dinner Friday and Saturday, $14.95. Friday, $4 martini; Saturday, $4 glass of house wine.

ADDED: Krauss Gaslite, 5130 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn, all you can eat cod dinner, including fries and coleslaw, $9.50. 5 to 10 p.m. every Friday.

ADDED: Stony Creek Golf Course, 5850 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, 5 to 8 p.m. every Friday through March 29 (Good Friday). All-you-can-eat buffet featuring Corona battered cod, corn, wild rice, salad, rolls, butter, and dessert. Coffee and Hot tea included. Adults, $10.99; children age 10 and under, $5.99. Shrimp, baked talipia, walleye dinner, $14.95.

Tinley Park VFW starts tonight $10 all you can eat fried cod & chicken and all sides. They have the best cod because I hate fish, but not theirs!

can you list if they are all- you- can- eat or not? to me that is what i like about them, if the fish is really good then you can eat more

Went to Nicobee's in Worth. Several lent specials... AYCE Perch for 14.95, comes with fresh bread, soup or salad. Drink specials 4$, cant beat it. Check your clipper magazine and get coupons too. Great atmosphere

Krauss Gaslite has absolutly delicious all you can eat cod .My wife usually orders the shrimp special. Can get a little crowded sit back and enjoy. Ed C

went there only once...thats all it took. Ever since a guy calmly walked out the front door, turned towards the wall...then started to take a leak.. we've never been back since.

Seen the same thing on river north there crude people where ever you go..Blaming the establishment is like blaming the police for not having a officer there to arrest him.

St. Catherine's is awesome. Great All you can eat fish, as well as cheese pizza, grilled cheese and pasta with red sauce as alternates and children's selections. Fries or Garlic potatoes that are out of this world.

Stony Creek fare is all you can eat if you order the fried cod, but priced by the plate for their shrimp and walleye dishes. Mixed green salad, bread and side dishes are all you can eat regardless of what you order as a main course. Every dinner includes dessert and tea or coffee.

Sorry ec but we just got tired waiting to have our order taken at Krauss's last night-Friday. There was only one poor girl waiting tables that we could see. We left after a couple of drinks, 45 minutes. We envisioned our food taking over another hour if it was taking that long just to get our order taken.

Blue Island Eagles on Grove St ( the bowling alley behind the post office on vermont)
Yummy fish there too, and they serve kid size portion for the little ones as well...
