PAWS Volunteer Recalls Rescue Mission to Oklahoma (VIDEO)

A Chicago PAWS volunteer recently shared on camera her experience visiting tornado-stricken Oklahoma. Some pets from the late-May rescue effort are still looking for homes.

Volunteers at PAWS Chicago Adoption Center have certainly been busy during the past couple months, in part because of a pet rescue for those displaced in Oklahoma's late May tornado.

But the lucky little cats and dogs are now up for adoption, according to NBC Chicago, which recently featured Laura Slivka, a PAWS volunteer who traveled to Oklahoma.

Teams from the PAWS Adoption Center rescued nearly 100 pets who were affected by the tragedy. Watch the above video to learn more about how it went.
