Local Organization Gets Television Treatment

ABC-7 recently ran a story highlighting the growing Changing the Face of Beauty Campaign started by a Beverly business owner.

Steve English is a familiar face to many Beverly residents.

The co-owner of Blossom Boys florist shop spoke to Patch in August about a campaign he helped start that seeks to use special needs children in ad campaigns. The initiative, called Changing the Face of Beauty, has been growing ever since.

On Sunday, Oct. 28, English and his campaign were featured on ABC-7 news. Watch the full video story here:

Campaign now 'Changing the Face of Beauty'

When English spoke to Patch he remarked on what this campaign means to him:

“In my 63 years, this is the most spiritual thing I’ve ever done in my life,” he said. “Not only has it been great for the kids modeling, but parents of other special-needs kids tell me their kids feel good seeing those ads. It really helps their egos and self-esteem to see someone like them doing this.”
