Flash Flood Warning Issued for Southeast Cook County

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning effective until 8:30 p.m.

Runoff from this afternoon’s torrential downpours is posing a flash flood threat to southeastern Cook County until 8:30 p.m., according to an alert from the National Weather Service

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
