Community Group to Raise Funds For Domestic Violence Victims With Work Out Day

The Morgan Park Junior Woman's Club has a unique approach to raising funds to fight domestic violence while partnering with local fitness programs.

On Saturday March 23, 2013, the Morgan Park Junior Woman's Club with the help of local fitness professionals will sponsor the Second Annual Work Out to Wipe Out Domestic Violence© Day. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about the serious issue of domestic violence, and to raise funds for our local advocacy agency, A New Direction Beverly Morgan Park (A.N.D.).

Event sponsors will invite the public to participate in various Benefit Day activities provided by fitness businesses and clubs throughout the community.  Donations from participants will be collected at these activities, and the proceeds will go directly to A.N.D.

The Morgan Park Junior Woman’s Club is asking for participation from fitness businesses and clubs (and their clients) including the martial arts, pilates, personal trainers, dance and yoga studios, physical therapists, tennis, biking, walking, running and swimming clubs all around the community. These Partners will provide or organize an activity on Benefit Day, March 23, 2013, and will promote the Benefit Day among their clients and patrons.
