If you are like me then you have been slowly limping toward the weekend for the past two days. Well it's here, and we better make the most of it while we can. I rounded up a few things you should know about today.

Bourbon Street Packed for Stanley Cup

OVer 1,500 people stood in line and made a donation to Blackhawks Charities so that they could get a picture with the Stanley Cup. The famed trophy wasn't available for viewing until 9 p.m., but wannabe picture takers were being turned away by 7:30 p.m.  Read the full story to hear from fans who had no problem waiting hours to see the Cup.

Honoring Korean War Veterans

If you happen upon this post before 10:30 a.m. you should head over to Kennedy Park, 11300 S. Western Avenue, for a ceremony honoring those who served in Korea. Smith Village is organizing the event which features a compelling list of speakers.
