Grand Opening Deals Start at Meijer
$50 gift cards every 15 minutes are just one of the giveaway promotions being offered today.
The new Meijer store in Evergreen Park opened on Tuesday, but the giveaways and special drawings start on Thursday.
The supercenter will be giving away a chance to win free groceries for a year. You can enter the "Best Summer Ever Sweepstakes" contest through Aug. 21.
On Thursday free 15-minute CoverGirl makeovers will be offered. There will also be a team from Radio Disney on hand with games throughout the day. Not to be out done, WBBM-FM radio will have some of their personalities in the store who will be giving away $50 gift cards every 15 minutes.
More opening week events will be held in the days to come. On Aug. 3, Herb Messa from the Food Network will be in store providing a cooking demonstration from noon to 2 p.m.
Also on Aug. 3, Meijer will be offering free digital fingerprinting for kids from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4.
