Don't Check Under the Bed, Check Out Tonight's Movie in the Park
Hotel Transylvania starts at sundown in McKiernan Park. Also, a nearby farmers market, a carnival, a tent sale and a school supply drive.
It may not be a full moon just yet (all the better for watching movies), but that doesn't mean there aren't monsters lurking - thankfully, they're just on a movie screen. Tonight, the 19th Ward Youth Foundation encourages the community to come out to Hotel Transylvania at McKiernan Park in Mount Greenwood. The movie begins at sundown.
Watch as Count Dracula tries to prevent his vampire daughter, 118 years young, from falling in love with a human in his hotel for monsters.
The 2012 film features the voices of a crazy cast of celebrities: Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade and Cee Lo Green. It was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
Bring some blankets, buy some popcorn and enjoy tonight's family-friendly feature.
