BACinema Brings Foreign Film 'In the House' to Beverly
Ah, le cinéma. Enjoy a French foreign language film at the Beverly Arts Center.
Want to try something different on your date night? Enjoy some French cinema at the Beverly Arts Center. Tonight at 7:30 p.m., BACinema is showing In the House, a film about a teenager who enters the home of a peer from his literature class and writes about it in his essays. His teacher is reinvigorated by the pupil’s work, but the boy’s intrusion unleashes a series of uncontrollable events, according to Cohen Media.
"The film treats imagination — and talent — in certain hands as an almost mystical force," said Stanley Kauffman, a film critic with The New Republic.
Tickets for the film are $7.50 for non-members and $5.50 for BAC members. Popcorn is $1 and other snacks, as well as wine and beer, are available at the volunteer-run concession stand.
