Listen: Union President Karen Lewis Talks Delegate Meeting

Chicago Teachers Union president Karen Lewis talks with WBEZ about the state of the contract proposal and discussions with delegates.

Union delegates are meeting this afternoon and will decide whether or not to continue with a strike that has shut down Chicago public schools for seven school days.

A contract is being examined by teachers who will determine if it is good enough to warrant an end to the strike.

WBEZ spoke with Lewis earlier today, listen to the full interview here and read more coverage on their website.

I think the author may need to go back to school: "Union delegates are meeting afternoon and will decide whether or not to continue with a strike that has shit down Chicago public schools for seven school days."

Hi Sean,
I think I was in school long enough, but thanks for pointing out the typo. It has been fixed. I inadvertently copied in the unedited version. Thanks for reading.
