Full Database: Proposed 2013 City of Chicago Salaries
The Mayor's office released budget recommendations for 2013 including a full list of salaries for 7,219 city positions.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has made his 2013 budget recommendations to the Chicago City Council. Included in the proposal is a full data set of all positions and salaries for city workers.
The city has released the full list which includes everything from the mayor's salary of $216,210 to the $11.18 hourly rate of library pages.
The pay rates are displayed as either yearly salaries hour hourly rates, depending on the position. The "total budget unit" column denotes the number of individuals who would occupy that position or the total number of hours that have been budgeted for.
We pulled out a few of the most high profile salaries, but browse through the included data to find those that most interest you.

In a press release on the proposed budget, Emanuel said that this year's budget has made sizeable steps in decreasing the deficit.
“This is a budget that allows us to make critical investments by reforming government instead of raising taxes," Emanuel said in the release.

The proposed budget estimates that the city will operate with a $298 million budget gap, the lowest since 2008.
